Sounds like there's more to it.

Alleged victim was assaulted at a party involving U. athletes at 1:30 a.m. 7/5. Said he was jumped by Hatfield, then 4 or 5 others joined in

I hope the others were not other football players.

Someone on Twitter is claiming that the fight was between Domo and a USU player. According to Piper, the police report didn't mention if they other participants were team members.

Without knowing more I think whoever went to the police about this is a world-class wuss.

Learn from BYU, keep the intersquad fighting on the field.

I've heard two different versions of how the fight started, one of which is worse than the other and in actuality, both could be true. I'm pretty sure that the party was a Utah swim team party but not 100% sure if the victim was a member of the swim team or not. That's why it went from indefinite suspension to dismissed from the team.

Just making a guess here, but that sounds like another athlete that was assaulted if they were even remotely concerned about drug testing. Domo's got some big problems it sounds like.

I take it back. If the affidavit is true then Domo is a fool.

Don't take it back - it's very possible that both a fool and a wuss were involved.

When did he get bailed out of jail? If this is true, this guy is a world-class idiot.

Maybe Domo can still get his life together and make the changes necessary to get on the field by the end of the month?

Domo potentially has NFL talent, but he is not worth the risk anymore. He should be done at Utah.

Can't we arrange a team visit to the State Prison, with Domo tearfully recognizing his error, and co-opt a national writer to manufacture a touching redemption story?

If all he did was beat up a swimmer, I'm okay with him coming back.

Of course if the affidavit is true he's likely to fail a drug test on top of that

So you are saying he might not be back until the second game of the season?

It only says he was rolling a blunt, not that he started smoking it yet. Maybe he was about to try marijuana for the first time.

He's definitely not wearing his What Would Chris Hill Do bracelet anymore.

He probably just wanted stay practiced up. I had a missionary companion that fit within this category.

Maybe he just wanted to see what one looked like.

If we really want to keep up with the SEC, he should get suspended for a quarter vs. USU.

Sounds like the University has investigated and determined to neither suspend or dismiss domo. But hes still not cleared to return to the team. A court appearance of some sort on sep. 21.

Hatfield can return to school, but his status with Utes remains unchanged
